Our History

Advanced Crusher Technologies, Inc., also known as Actech, Inc. was founded by Brett Rose in January of 1998.

Brett began his career in the aggregates and mining industries in the late 1970s when he began working after school for his father's company, Canica VSI Crushers, primarily cleaning the shop and assisting in the assembly of crushers.

He later became the company's production manager/foreman, overseeing the production of new machines, parts and service for existing crushers. In 1986, he moved into outside sales, where he learned about different materials and markets throughout the Western US.

Over time, he began traveling to foreign markets and other parts of the US, which greatly increased his knowledge and experience in materials processing. In late 1995, his father sold his company, Canica VSI Crushers and Brett continued working with the new owners until 1997 when  he left the company and enjoyed being unemployed for a short period until January 1998, when Brett decided to start his own company with another business partner.

The original intent of Actech, Inc. was to develop a new line of private label VSI crushers for other manufacturers and service the many existing VSI crushers already on the market. However, the local Northwest markets had a strong sales and service need for all types of crushing and screening equipment as well as parts and custom manufacturing. Actech, Inc. slowly worked on supplying virtually all products for processing equipment, such as screening media, crusher wear liners, bearings, power transmission, conveyors, belts, etc. We were increasingly asked to manufacture custom parts and components and do repair and field work. As this part of the business grew, Actech, Inc. acquired engineering staff to design and fabricate new plants and equipment, and eventually started to develop a more complete product line of its own.

Today, Actech, Inc. employs many top-knotch personnel in manufacturing, engineering, field service, outside sales and more, and has developed key relationships with partner suppliers. This ensures that we can provide quality and timely solutions to meet the needs of our customers in the aggregates, mining, recycling, ship loading and other material handling industries.

Actech, Inc. also provides engineering services, custom design and manufacturing of complete plants and/or components, installation and demolition, and plant flow design and consulting.

Our current product line includes conveyors and overland conveyor systems, reclaim tunnels, mine duty apron feeders, vibrating grizzly feeders, belt feeders, cone, jaw and horizontal impact crushers, horizontal and incline screens, wash plants and washing equipment, portable water clarifiers, and of course 9 models of VSI crushers with the option of impeller/anvil or rotor/rock box internal configurations.

In addition, we also have several wear parts sources for many types of OEM equipment such as jaws, cones, and vertical and horizontal shaft impact crushers, screens and washing equipment, and conveyor components and belt.

Actech has recently started manufacturing in Mexico in addition to Texas and Washington state to be more competitive and have a stronger geographic presence in order to better service all of the North and South American markets.

Looking ahead, we are working to establish a network of distributors throughout North America, Latin America, and South America to market our products. If your company may be interested in becoming an Actech dealer, please reach out via our contact page form or call our main office in Woodland, Washington at 360-571-7703.
