Mine duty apron feeders

Actech designs and manufactures heavy duty apron feeders for use in mines and aggregate plants, constructed with  H beam main frames ,  D4 and D7  dozer style undercarriage carrier rollers, track chains and replacable sprocket segments for the load carrying system. The feeder pans are cast manganese steel with 1” high grouser bars from side to side and attach to the chain with hardened track bolts.   Our standard sizes are 36” 42” 48” 54” 60” 72” 84” and 96” wide by any length you require.  We custom design and build each unit to fit your tonnage and feed size requirements. Options include hydraulic or electric drives. We utilize Sumitomo and SEW planetary drives for our electric units and Haglund hydraulic drives.

These units are very low maintenance and very low power consumption. We can also supply smaller versions of these for utilizing as feeders inside a surge tunnel as well as portable units with removable truck dump hoppers attached.

Because we manufacture these in north America including the feeder pans gear boxes, and all mechanical parts are readily available from anywhere in the world,

Our delivery time to produce these units is usually 12-16 weeks

Vibrating grizzley feeders

We build and supply various sizes of Vibrating grizzly feeders, in 36” 40” 46” and 52” wide in 12’ 14’16’ and 20’ long. All models are available with adjustable grizzly bars or with full length pan.

All units are lined with replaceable ar400 wear liners. The vibrating mechanism consists of two eccentric shafts with spherical roller bearings and 3 ½” wide helical gears, enclosed in a oil bath housing.

Belt Feeders

Actech has developed a line of hopper-type belt feeders. These can be fixed or skid-mounted, or portable. We custom design them to meet your production needs and also offer a Hydraulic tipping  grizzly as an additional option. They can be single bin or a multi bin cold feed style.

Super Duty  belt Feeders for use in surge tunnels

Our Super Duty belt feeder are short feed belts designed for use in surge tunnels or under hoppers of large silos or cold feed systems. They use live shaft rubber disc rollers under the loading zone and Sumitomo right angle gear reducers. In most applications they are supplied with a feed chute, side skirts and belt cleaner. These feeders are designed to allow side installation of a pre-vulcanized belt. They have a centralized grease system for lubricating all bearings from one point.

We build them in a modular design so that they can be supported from the roof of your tunnel and the feed chute can be installed through the top of the tunnel for easy removal and replacement.

These feeders have been very successful in both gravel and shot rock up to 12” in size but can accept longer slabs. They are very low maintenance because the belt moves very slow and doesn’t wear rapidly. they are also very low in energy consumption because of their large gear reduction ratio they only require about .015 hp per ton per hour of feed.
